Tenant du titre, Tottenham s'est fait très peur mercredi soir en match retour de la demi-finale de League Cup face à Burnley. Les Spurs ne se sont qualifiés qu'au terme des prolongations en s'inclinant 3 buts à 2 après avoir été menés 3-0. Les Londoniens pourront défendre leur trophée en finale face à Manchester United.
